CONDITION DESCRIPTION

Good pre-owned condition. Acrylic crystal in good condition with light scratches. Rolex folded link Oyster band #7836 is sized for an 8 inch wrist but can be shortened . Band has 358 end links and is stamped 7836 and shows minor stretching. Case has several light scratches from normal use. Watch has not been pressure tested for water resistance. Keeps accurate time but has not been recently serviced (see timing data in description). Can be seen in person at a Jeweler's shop in Midtown Manhattan (by Appointment). Lastly, I have received a number of questions regarding the dial. Specifically asking if the luminous glows in the dark and the answer is it does not glow due to age of the luminous compound on the hands and the dial.

Unmarked steel screw-down case back. Inner case back marked "Montres Rolex S.A. Geneva Switzerland Patented Stainless Steel 1016".

Movement: hi grade Rolex calibre 1570 automatic movement with free sprung regulator type balance wheel with conventional timing screws.

Movement Type: 19,800 bph Rolex 26-jewel automatic rotor movement.

Movement Condition: very good, winds, sets, runs and keeps time.

Movement Function:Unscrewing the crown the crown will pop-out and the watch can be wound. Pulling crown to 2nd stop allows adjustment of the hour hand and minute hands and stops the second hand.

Dial: Rolex matte black tritium dial with luminous stick hour markers except inverted luminous triangle at 12 and fat font numerals at 3,6 and 9. Signed "Rolex Oyster Perpetual Explorer" under the 12 marker. Date window at 3. Marked "Superlative Chronometer Officially Certified" above the 6 marker. Luminous marker no longer glow due to age.

Hands: Rolex steel luminous mercedes hands, good with steel sweep seconds all in good condition. Luminous hands no longer 'glow' due to age.

Crystal: acrylic crystal in good condition.

Band: stainless steel Rolex folded link Oyster band has a Rolex crown logo deployant clasp the ends links are numbered 358 and the band end is numbered 7836. Band is sized for an 8 inch wrist. Band is in good condition however shows a little stretching. Band can be shortened by removing links.

Box: original Rolex inner and outer boxes inner box in fair condition with broken spine.

Papers: None

Notes: Rolex mens Explorer I automatic watch in very good condition. Water resistant but has not been pressure tested.

Watch is running well, keeping time and ready to wear.
